Implant Crowns

¿What are crowns over implants?

They are artificial teeth that are fixed on the implant to restore the function and aesthetic appearance of a natural tooth.

¿How is the crown made over the implant?

A special post called an `abutment´ is attached to the implant and it is the support for the new porcelain crown. After impressions are taken a crown is made and shaded to match your existing teeth. The crown is then slipped over the abutment and cemented and the final prosthetic crown appears as a natural tooth.

¿What are the variations of prostheses on implants?

Implant prostheses vary between:

  • Crowns over implants
  • Bridges with one or more crowns over implants
  • Removable prostheses over implants
