In some cases, extractions are necessary before an orthodontic treatment or due to lack of space for your wisdom teeth. They´re also necessary if you´re facing an extreme situation, such as a severely worn out tooth, critical bone loss or a dangerous infection.
Our specialists will explain to you what your options are, and if the only option is a tooth removal, we´ll indicate you what the next steps are and how we´re going to replace it.
Before the extraction, the surgeon applies anesthesia to numb the area. Afterwards, during the extraction itself, some pressure can be perceived, but no pain. During this procedure, we constantly ask you how you feel, and if patient manifests feeling any pain, we apply more anesthesia.
During the extraction and few days after, some pain and inflammation can be felt, so we´ll prescribe you specific anti-inflammatory medication, analgesics and antibiotics according to your case.
